Can I get a REFUND, TRANSFER or RESELL my registration?
All entries for individual participants are non-refundable and non-resellable. Transfer of an entry to another individual is allowed until 20 prior to an event (instructions on how to transfer an entry are available further down on this page). Partial refunds/credit will be processed for medical reasons only. In order to receive a 50% event credit toward another Kiss Me Dirty event, we must receive your medical cancellation request in writing (email or letter) 30 days prior to event day, along with an official doctor's note supporting the request (scanned and E-mailed or by letter). Those who sustain an injury after this date and would like to submit a request for an exception to our refund policy, should email email@example.com up to 14 days prior to the event, along with a verifiable doctor's note, for special consideration on a case by case basis.
Can I have someone else pickup my bib number and packet?
Registration materials must be picked up by each individual participant with a picture I.D. (driver's license); no I.D. means no registration packet! Participants and/or family members MAY NOT pick up packets for other athletes. If the registered athlete is unable to pick their packet up in person with I.D., then they may make a photo copy of their I.D. and on that paper copy write a note stating who is authorized to pick their packet up for them. That authorized person is then allowed to bring that signed photo copy of the registered athletes I.D. along with their own personal photo I.D. and pickup that athlete's packet. Whoever utilizes the bib number in a packet after it is picked up by the registered athlete or "authorized person" is up to them. Why are we being such sticklers you ask? Because all participant names have been listed online publically, anyone could technically come and take another participant's packet if we didn't check I.D.
When will packet pickup be?
There are usually 2-3 packet pickup opportunities at KMD events, with 1 opportunity always being morning of the event and the other 1-2 opportunities are "early" packet pickup opps in the 1-2 weeks prior to the event. Obviously if you register on the same day as one of the listed pre-event day packet pickup opportunities, we WILL NOT have your packet ready for pickup on that same day. Event specific packet pickup dates and times are listed on each specific EVENT INFORMATION page.
What is included in my registration packet?
You will receive a custom bib number, 4 safety pins for pinning your bib to the FRONT of your shirt, vinyl decal KMD car sticker, a rockin' fashion forward KMD event t-shirt (usually... sometimes we do other cool items like custom bags, backpacks, etc) and information on FREE event pictures from impact-foto.com (at most KMD events). You'll receive your finisher award (custom KMD hand towel) when you cross the line at your KMD event.
Is the event full?
Well, if it says "Sold Out," then yes, the event is full. If you don't see a "Sold out" sign on our website, and you're able to get into the registration portal online, then we still have registration available. It's that simple... that's how we roll!
Is there day of event registration?
For any event that hasn't reached capacity, there will be registration onsite leading up to the time of the last wave. Hurry though, lines may be long and it's highly likely we'll run out of shirts. You will need valid photo I.D. to register and will need to sign all necessary waivers.
What wave am I in and what time will it leave?
Your wave number is your bib number... we're so clever. If you have a big giant #1 on your bib, it's not only because we feel you're Number ONE, it's also because you'll be in the first wave. At most of our events, you can count on Wave #1 going out onto the course at precisely the time stated in the event information, then each wave after that will start about 10 minutes after the last one. Please run with your assigned wave as we try to space everyone out enough to help minimize congestion and keep the fun rolling.
How do I make sure I get in the same wave with a group of friends or a specific team?
During your online registration, just make sure everyone on your team registers under the same wave. If the wave your team is in sells out and you still have additional members to add to your team, email firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll help you out if we can.
How do I confirm I am registered or find out what wave all my friends signed up under?
You can search registrations to confirm your registration status or find out who else has registered for this event by going to the corresponding link below for your event (note: The following types of participants are not included in search results: minors, group-registration team members, participants registered by someone else and participants who have opted out of appearing in search results. To verify the registration of a minor, please sign in to your ACTIVE.com account.

I need to switch waves, update my team name or fix some errors in some of my registration info (age, birthday, emergency info, etc), how do I go about getting those changes/updates made?
Participants may log in to their active.com accounts and edit any of their info until 20 days prior to each event. After that point, each event will be locked for edits. CLICK HERE to log in to your active.com account.
I need to transfer my entry to someone else, how do I do that?
Login to your active.com account at https://myevents.active.com/login.js. Choose the option "Transfer Registration to Another Athlete," then enter the email address of the person you are transferring it to. You may also click on the link in your registration confirmation email that says "Transfer to Someone Else" and it will prompt you to put the email address in for the person you are transferring it to. Once they claim their registration, it will refund your payment (minus the active.com processing fee) and ask the person receiving the transfer to pay the current price of the event registration. Transferring will be available up until 3 weeks prior to an event.
Do I have to do a fundraiser to participate in a Kiss Me Dirty event?
Nope. We will already donate a portion of your registration fee (at least 5% from every participant registration, and at least 15% from every expo booth) directly to the supporting cancer research organization in your Kiss Me Dirty event community. Fundraising is just optional for those ladies who want to do more than just participate. Complete fundraising options that are available at each event are listed on the BENEFITING page.
Are there any registration discounts I can use?
Ah, we KNEW you'd ask that! All of the available discounts that you can take advantage of are outlined HERE.
Is this a female-only event?
Dude? ... DUDE! KMD is excited to announce the new "Drag Race" wave at each of our events. We're looking for up to 170 man-chicks to lead the charge for one wave at each event just ahead of the waves of women that follow. Wait...isn't this an all WOMEN'S event? Why, YES IT IS! Whether you're donning your Chick Suit because you want to, because that's who you are, or because you lost a bet, WE DON'T CARE! This is your chance to muddy up the waters so to speak surrounded by thousands of REAL women, all for a good cause while looking the part. After you wash off the mud and strip the skirt, you can go back to whatever manly thing you do, we won't tell. This wave is VERY limited, so sign up early, your girlfriends will be so proud! Are you MAN enough to Drag Race and Kiss Me Dirty?
How much of my registration fee is donated to gynecological cancer research?
At least 5% of your registration fee goes directly to a cancer research organization in your event's community as well as 15% from every expo booth reservation. A complete breakdown of the organizations that benefit in each community is available HERE.
How old do you have to be to participate?
The minimum age is 10. With that said, there are many adults that can't walk/jog a full 5K...so just be smart. If you've never walk/jogged more than the distance from the couch to your refrigerator, then you might want to strongly consider a training program to get you up to par so you'll be able to finish and enjoy your Kiss Me Dirty experience!
What skill level do you have to be at to compete?
Kiss Me Dirty is a 5K female-only mud obstacle course run designed for women of all athletic abilities. If you can walk, jog or run a 5K while going over and thru some obstacles (you don't HAVE to do the obstacles as stated above) then you will be golden...er or should we say DIRTY!
Are KMD events timed?
Worried about your finish time? Well, you shouldn't be! Kiss Me Dirty events are most certainly not about who finishes in the fastest time. So if you are looking for a competitive, fast running event...this is not it! Wanna know your time, bring a watch! Timing chips will NOT be distributed and results will NOT be kept.
How long are KMD courses?
5K (or for those non runners, that is equal to about 3.12 miles) give or take. Sometimes we're slightly short of that, sometimes KMD events are slightly longer than 5K.
What are the obstacles?
A course map for each venue is available on the information page for each KMD event. Many of the obstacles are the same event to event, but just change slightly due to unique venue/course conditions. We do not come right out and say what the obstacles are on the maps, cause that would ruin all the fun. Each obstacle is named, and with a little imagination, we're sure you'll be able to get a general idea of what each one entails.
Am I required to complete all the obstacles?
Only if you want to! Of course, the obstacles are part of the event, but if you have some sorta hangup about any of them, feel free to skirt around. This is a FUN event, and if you're not having fun, what's the point. Nobody from the event will FORCE you to do an obstacle you're not comfortable with. Now if your gal pals bug you about it, then give 'em a good old fashioned comeback like "SO..." or "I know you are but what am I!"
Will there be water/medical help on the course?
Yes, water aid stations will be available every mile on the course as well as medical personnel at those obstacles where chances of injury might occur (tripping, scrapped knees, etc). Should you come to an obstacle where there is not a medic, but you are in need of assistance, just grab the volunteer that is in an orange vest stationed at that obstacle and they will radio for help.
What should I bring/wear?
If you are picking your packet up event morning, be sure to bring your ID! We suggest you wear clothing/athletic shoes that you don't mind getting muddy and possibly ruined. Be sure to bring some spending money (cash or credit only) to hit the expo and KMD Merchandise tent before or after your wave.
Will there be a place to donate my shoes afterwards?
GreenSneakers will be accepting shoe donations at all Kiss Me Dirty events. By donating your muddy shoes, you are helping to provide affordable footwear to people in need around the world. Collected sneakers are distributed through reputable relief agencies in developing countries. Look for the SHOE DONATE banner near the hose down stations! www.greensneakers.org/about.html.
Will there be a place to clean up after?
At most of our events, there will be a hose down station and sometimes support from local fire departments to get you all cleaned up. This generally isn't heated water, and isn't private. It's meant to hose the giant globs of dirt off that you don't want in your car when you leave. Please don't modify the hose down stations as that will cause all of the other lines not to work. The hose down stations will generally be located near the expo area.
Are cameras allowed?
Yes, but as you might know, MUD and electronics do not mix. So, unless you don't want to risk ruining your nice $300 digital camera, we suggest you leave the pics up to our photography company (IMPACT-FOTO), that will be at most KMD events, and leave your camera at home.
Can spectators go out on the course to watch and take pictures?
YES! We love spectators and we love having them out there on the course to cheer you ladies on. Spectators are in charge of getting themselves out and back to wherever it is they want to go on the course. Just beware...they might come away a little dirty themselves. Oh, and we also ask that they of course stay out of the way of you ladies running as well as not getting on any of the obstacles.
Will there be somewhere I can store some items during the event?
A secure bag drop will be available near the start/finish area where you can check your personal belongings while you go get a little dirty! We highly suggest you bring your own bag to store your belongings in.
